Using Algebra Tiles to Bridge Gaps and to Foster Understanding
Algebra tiles provide a means to foster understanding of a variety of concepts, and to understand the natural development from arithmetic of Integers to work with polynomials; their use in the classroom from an early age through algebra fosters an understanding not only of the topic at hand, but also of connections between topics taught in different grades. Participants will learn how to use algebra tiles to help their students deepen their conceptual understanding and much more!
